Hi all pro,
Can you teach me how to using vb coding to ask the access file's database save up another copy for backup???

hi there.. access by itself can't copy the database (but you can do a compact via Jet to do that, and that will make a copy)..

anyway, the easy way is to close the connection and just copy the file to your new destination...

Compact is the way to recover unused space for an access database.. using the dbengine you can do it inside Vb.. I can't give you any code since it's different for DAO and ADO, and if you want to carry with this option you can find a lot over google. If you don't want to use this technique (if the database is big it could take some time), just close all the connections to it and do a copyfile...

Dbengine is an object inside vb6... you could find that kind of info in google...

Mix–N–match verbs, nouns, predicates. (More than enough ?’s too!)

As I told you before, DBengine is an object inside VB 6.. you could find a lot of info about in the MSDN or in google...
