Hope this is the right place!

As part of my final year project, I am writing a secure database for student FAQs for my University. They have ask (Due to license costs) that the database be based on MySQL and NOT SQL-Server(As originally planned) I still want to do the project in VB .NET (or C# if necessary) and was wondering how to go about connecting to a MySQL database in VB .NET.
