Default Accessing network registry

Does anyone know where to look for examples on how to access a network windows domain registry, other systems services, etc. using .Net?

If anyone has examples or could point me in the right direction as far as what to research that would be helpful. I am assuming it would be a combination of ADSI and the registry??? But I am not sure where to start. Thanks.
