Default RS 2000 date issue

very odd, we use RS and most of the time it works but occasionally it pulls the date in american rather than british format (its not clustered) which you can see in the html, when you run the query raw (in Query analyser) it never pulls the date incorrectly.
Anyone know where it pulls the date format from?
