Default RS = Crystal?

Is the real difference between Crystal Reports and MS Reporting Services that the VB .Net studio products now have Crystal Reports 'built in' instead of Crystal Reports being an external application? I never used Crystal Reports, so I can't really tell.

I'm asking so I can tell how applicable a Crystal Reports tip might or might not be to me.
