Default Connection Could not be made to the report server

I was working on MS SQL Server 2005 reporting service tutorial and when I deploy the sales order.rdl report with reportserverurl= http://localhost/ReportServer I get the following error:
Connection Could not be made to the report server http://localhost/ReportServer
Please help.

If Reporting Services isn't installed on your local development machine, this will be an invalid URL. Substitute "localhost" with the name of your report server. To test this path, you can type it into your web browser address bar to get a directory listing of folders on the report server.
