Default Filtered Sharepoint list, not filtered in infopath

Filtered Sharepoint View, not filtered in Infopath form!

Hi, I was wandering if you have come accross the following problem before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a sharepoint services portal. In it a list, whose default view i have modified to filter based on a single column. I want to see only items where the "available=yes" (one of the columns).

I have an infopath form, whose dropdownlist is databound to the above mentioned list in sharepoint. When i try to fill out the form through infopath, the list shows what the view shows. Thus the list only shows values where "available=yes".

When i upload this infopath form to the sharepoint services portal, and navigate to it through sharepoint to fill it out, the dropown list shows all the items, not the filtered view.

Why this inconsistency? and is there any way that i can filter this list in sharepoint portal on the infopath form. I have tried rules-filter, but it tells me that filtering in infopath dropdown is not allowed for webenabled forms.

If this is a infopath bug, is there any other way to get around this problem, web service? Web part? something?

Can you please help?

Rgs,

Tarik
