i have created a colum in my table to store telephone numbers. the number should be at least 11 digits. the problem i have used nearly all the DATATYPE to identify that column, but it always sends a message saying there is an overflow of data.

can any one tell what sort of datatype that i need to use to keep to store 11 numbers including a zero in the front?

Whats the exact error?

BTW Are you using an int type datatype? I dont, many users place (, ), -, Hm, Mb etc characters. If you dont need to calculate etc use a varaible character field.
