Default special char to stored procedure parameters

Hi,

I want to assign stored procedure parameter values from a a string containing special characters like ciété, ''. The coding is in ASP.
Also in database table values are stored with special characters.

its giving me error at Set rs = cmd.Execute()

any idea how to send special characters string through stored procedure?

Your post doesn't give sufficient information for troubleshooting your problem. How about posting the code relevant to construct of procedure call in ASP?

Make sure that the data type of your parameter in your stored procedure is defined as either NCHAR or NVARCHAR, if this is SQL Server. If this is not SQL Server, just make sure that the parameter data type can handle Unicode characters.
