hi there.. you can have linked tables in access.. I don't remember the process, but you have a table in a database that is phisycally on another database, so if it change in any of them you will see it ok in the other...

you see in Tabel A all column are of a Text data type and one of the column is called Date and i want to have its data type to Date/Time instead of Text. That is why I trying to copy the content of Tabel A from database A to Tabel B in database B, because in Tabel B i will change the data type for "Date" to Date/Time here the "Date" is the column name. basically I cannot touch the source database. How would I go by doing that.

That is what I am trying to figure out. If i make a link of that tabel in database B then can I copy what ever in that tabel to a new one. For example: I would have the linked tabel from database A in database B, so this tabel will always have the updated data correct. Then create a new tabel in database B that would copy all data from the linked tabel, but the data type for one column in tabel B would be changed from Text to Date/Time. is that possible if so how.

what you are thinking doesn't make any sence.. and who will update the second [u]TABLE</u> (you are writing it wrong)... can you tell me why you need to change that column to date??
