Default Encode & Decode

Does MS-SQL Server 2000 have ability to Encode/Decode a string field in a Table or not?! & if yes how?

Any help appreciated.

Always:),

AFAIK, SQL 2000 doesn't have that faciltiy. May be you can do that from outside SQL, using our client application and then store them on to sql tables.

You may want to take a look at this post?

Hope that helps.
Cheers!
