Default About Triggers

Hi eve bdy,

Is there a way that i can fire triggers when importing data from an Excel file to a table having insert trigger,

this will save my BIG time

Hi there,

AFAIK, Triggers are not fired when you do such import. But you can get that to work, by importing data to another table and then insert data from new table to the old one(on which trigger is set) and that way you can save your BIG time.

In DTS you can also

Uncheck the use fast load, and set your batch size to 1 under the options tab on the transform data task properties.
