showing columns as rows

i want to convert my columns into rows as in Matrix report through SQL select statement... my table is

batchno, produced, samples, rejects, finalquantity

AS

batchno, Type , value

This has been discussed many times on this forum. This is best and easlily done on the frontend, rather than using sql statement. If you have not searched here on this, do a search, you will find a lot of ideas discussed here on that.

HI,

You can do with SQL query but I feel a need of Grouping as must here.
See "Rotating table in Sql Server" topic in Microsoft site. Example is given there.
