Logfiles

Hi,

Can you tell me where I find the logfiles in SQL server, I need to fid out when some records were deleted.

Finding the log file will depend on how you setup SQL Server. Look for some like ...\mssql\log.

It should be under the folder MSSQL\LOG on the drive on which sql was installed.

Thanks for your help.

I've found a few files named errorlog.1, errorlog.2 etc.

However, I dont seem to have an application asscociated with them.

How do I open them?

Thats simple text file, you can use NOTEPAD/WordPad to open that.
