Default Print Schema

Does SQL Server 2000 have a create schema tool?

I have looked around and found a couple of non free-ware tools that do. I would like to know if ive failed to find it within Enterprise Manager or not?

Objective: print design view of all tables

TYK

Hi there,

Yes it does. It's called DIagrams and is located just above Tables in each of your database.

Create a new Diagram, select the tables you want to print and you'll see the diagram appear. You can customize the view (columns shown for each table etc), change paper size (which has a tendency to jump from Landscape to Portrait, right before you try to print ;) )etc etc

Cheers,

Imar

I always use diagrams but did not think of trying to change the view. I will check it out now, I asume one of these views includs data types.

Yes, just right-click a table and choose Table View | Modify Custom.
Then you can choose what columns you want to view. Don't forget to right-click again and choose Table View | Custom to actually switch to the custom view.

Cheers,

Imar
