SQL Server cannot open

Hi,

I open my Branch SQL Server at my place but i unsucessful to open unitl it hanging , now my pc cannot click 'Microsoft SQL server' it give me hanging and nothing come out.

What can I do now?

Hmm wild guess :: Is it something to do with Memory?

Have you tried to restart your computer and then connecting to your SQL server.

check the following
1. Make sure the server is up and running
2. Ping the server if you can
3. Can anyone else connected to it.

i can ping the ip address for their server and network is connected. nobody can connect to their server, i had tried many pc at my place.

Jane,

You may want to check your domain administrator and make sure they have not blocked you and or the port you connect to. Check the firewall if any.

Please ensure the following:

DB related:
Your ODBC connection is tested successful.
Network Related:
You are able to ping properly to the server machine.
