Default READPAST Hint in SELECT statement won't work

Hi,

Has anyone successfully used READPAST in a SELECT statement ? I try to use it both from VB.NET and from SQL Query Analyzer (to test a solution) and it won't work - I still see all records, whether locked or not.

If anyone knows what to do, she/he might share the knowledge...

TIA
Mike
