Dear all,

I have problem with SQL server running on my PC. After installing SQL 2000 in my local machine then I used Menu Enterprise Manager to register using menu New SQL server Registration and SQL Server Wizard . I Used Window Authentication to connect to my local SQL Server but the error message prompts me with :
"SQL server does not exist or access denied "

Did I miss some other procedure before I could register and connect to my local instance in my own PC localhost ?

You probably don't have an user account set up on the server for the user name you are using, or you don't have mixed mode authentication set. Usually during the install it asks for an sa password. You will have to set up another user account.
