Default Analysis Services + XP Pro

Good Morning,
I have a doubt. I thought that the minimun requirements for running Analysis Serces were NT4 or 2000 Pro. I tried Analysis Services with Windows XP Professional with some computers and it worked. Can anyone explain this. I need an urgent answer, because I have to know if XP Pro is enough!
Thank you very much
Perez

Per BOL:

Microsoft Windows® 2000 Server (3)
-or-

Microsoft Windows NT® Server 4.0 with Service Pack 5 or later (3)

For client components on client computers only, the following systems also qualify:

Windows 2000 Professional
Windows NT Workstation 4.0 with Service Pack 5
Windows 98
Windows 95 + DCOM95
Windows 95 OSR2 + DCOM95

So presumably the later OSes would also fit: i.e. XP Pro would allow client installation, and Windows Server 2003 would allow full install.

BTW, the developer edition will install on XP Pro although you should note the following from BOL:

Although the Developer Edition supports all the features of the Enterprise Edition that allow developers to write and test applications that can use the features, the Developer Edition is licensed for use only as a development and test system, not a production server.
