Default txt file generated from SQl BCP


i m faceing a problem,
i dont no whr is the problem with txt file generated from SQL BCP, it is generating but when i upload file on web the users cant able to have it. but when i upload the same file through excel as txt file it starts working in the said order.

can anybody help me to sort out it with a proper solution.

Hi Nidhi!

Actually, the delimiter should be in proper format. Excel accepts tab delimited and other formats. But, the format web users want, possibly is not there in BCP generated text file.

Generally, people use tab delimited columns and (\n) delimited rows. If you specify all these in your -r and -t switches, you may solve this problem.

Post us the way you generate File from BCP out statement, this may be helpful for us to figure out the root of problem.
