Default supress system (sqlserver) message

hi friends,
here i m facing one problem.
i want to supress the error message provided by the sqlserver.
instead of this i want to give my own message.
i am able to print my message but the problem is the system message is also comes along with.
is there any way to supress the system messages

You can modify in master.sysmessages to get rid of the original message...but it will reflect the entire database...so beware
