Default AS400 connection to SQL Server 2000

I'm running Lotus Domino on an AS400. I am unable to establish a connection (via a background agent) between the AS400 and the SQl server so I can pull data from a table into a form in Lotus Notes. I am using ADO to establish the connection string. If however, I run the code from a the Notes client on a Windows Xp workstation, I have no problem establishing the connection.

Can someone with experience connecting an AS400 to SQL server give me some guidance as to how I should go about doing this?

Thanks,

Dan

Default

AS400 needs some sort of connectivity tool. ADO runs on a pc, not an IBM server. You need some tool (I believe Oracle makes one) that allows you to connect to various other SQL servers. Think of it as you have to buy someone's equivalent to ADO for your IBM server.
