We have a access sql application that is being used by various users. One of the user is getting the above message and I am not sure why he is getting this message. He cannot connect to sql server any more from the application. Any help is appreciated in advance. Thanks

If the same application works for other users/from other computers, then it could be connectivity issue just for this user alone. Try to connect to the sql server using sql query analyser and same username and password that the application uses and see if that succeeds. I doubt it could be connectivity issue.

was he able to connect before?

He could connect to the application before. But not right now any more.

Did you try the connectivity test between the sql server and the user's computer?
