Default Encrypt data

How can I encrypt and decrypt data? Not the whole table only one field. I am using VB6 and SQL Server 2000.

try this, may be solve your problem.

encryption algorithms such as MD5. Take a look at this article http://aspnet.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/103002-1.aspx

it deals with ASP.net but you'll get the idea.

Here is a Javascript version of MD5 http://pajhome.org.uk/crypt/md5/
