Default Copying a database

I have to take over somebodies database project, because they have left and I need to copy the database from one server to my local machine.

I have been given the username, etc and can connect to the source server, but when I enter the security details for my local machine for the user "sa", which I know to be correct, I get an error message saying:

Cannot connect to the server "myserver". Please check the server name and try again.

I am using the Copy Database Wizard:(

Try to add Alias to "myserver" in your system, using "Network Client Connection Utility". this should help you connect without any problem.

Hope this helps.
