how to extract a spreadsheet

could anyone tell me how to extract a spreadsheet into data flow?

1.Select the data flow tab or click the add dataflow link in vs 2005
2.Select excel source from data flow sources
3.Right click on the excel source and select edit
4.Under connection manager click New
5.Point to the excel file you want to import.
