Hello, I am using ms sql 2005 managment studio to work on my database stored remotely at sql server farm. I am able to do everything that I need to do but everything movers very slowly. I am on a home intranet behind a lynxs router. Any ideas? I have read about a problem similar to this where management studio was trying to contact a microsoft web site for verification in between operations.

The lag time between operations (opening a table for example) is several orders of magnitude greater (30 seconds) than refresh rates for other internet sites. I really don't know. Any help appreciated.
