Default Question on saving changes to databases

Hi, this is my first time using a forum, and I hope someone reading this can help me. I'm also hoping this is the right forum to post to.

My problem is that I'm unable to get any changes I add to a table to take effect. I'm running Visual Basic 2005 Express edition, and SQL Server Express. I'm new to VB programming, and have been following the "how do I" help screens in VB to create and update a test database. All goes well until I reach the point of actually saving updates to the test database per the instructions. No error messages display when I click on the save icon, but when I restart the project, the changes are gone.

I've had a fellow at work who maintains the networks, servers, etc. look at my machine. Nothing seems wrong to him. I've even upgraded to XP Professional in the hopes that the issue was with the original version of XP that came with the machine.

I would appreciate any help someone could provide. Thanks very much in advance for any responses.

Hi Pat,

There could a number of things wrong. The best thign to do would be to include your problem code and from there we could at least get an idea of what might be wrong.
