Default Cannot Run SSIS from workstation

Hi,

I get "product level is insufficient..." error when I run my SSIS package from workstation (from the Mgmt studio), though i could run the package from the server and the BIDS (client node) as well.
Any installation is missing in the workstation?

Your suggestion is highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks,
Chandra

What is installed on your workstation? You need a certain level of SQL Server (not just management studio) installed to run SSIS packages.

Mgmt Studio, BIDS, Performance Tools, analysis service, Configuration tools. These are the components i can see it in the SQL Server 2005 Menu.

I'm not really sure. I think you may have passed my level of expertise in this subject.

After eyeing various blogs, i came to know that the SSIS package cannot be executed from the workstation, but its possible to execute the package from BIDS. If you need to execute from the workstation Mgmt Studio we need Integration services running on our workstation and to be noted is Client components doesnt come with Integration services. So better to execute the package from server or as a job or go with full installation of SQL Server in the workstation, probably that could be a license issue. Please correct me i'm wrong.

Thanks,
Chandra
