Default Advantages of SSIS over DTS

Hi,

Can anyone please tell me the advantages of SSIS over DTS.

DTS is for SQL Server 2000

SSIS is for SQL Server 2005+. SSIS is built on the .NET based 2005 platform so there are those advantages.

Yes, SS2005 will run old DTS packages, but generally, one should upgrade to SSIS for anything new, assuming you are running 2005.
