Default Deleted DTS Tasks still running

I modified an existing DTS package by deleting an active x scripting task that creates a file. When I now run the package, the file is still created even though the task is already deleted.

I appreciate any help...:)

Where you the owner of this package? Check if the package was scheduled as a job and delete it. It may be using a version of the dts package.

Remove the previous versions of the DTS packages and save it and check. Is your DTS Package stored in Structured Storage file or SQL Server or Visual Basic File. (Check the Package-> Save As.. Menu)
