Default Date Picker control

I use a Date picker in my form. While changing the date, I have to check if that one is greater than the current date or not? If greater I have to show a message and roll back to the previous date which it had been selected.
Is there any method to roll back to the old date of the date time picker?

On_Picker_GotFocus, save the current value in a variable.
If the selected date is greater than the date held in the variable, set the value of the picker to the held value.
