Default pls hlp!!! Microsoft ADO Data Control not found

Hello all!! I cant find Microsoft ADO Data Control in the components and control gallery. Anyone know how to register that ActiveX control?

i tried googlin the issue... found that msadodc.ocx file is associated with this control. So i downloaded that off the net. registered using regserv32. Now the control appears, but when i select it, it says that i dont have license to include that control! i dont know what i'm doing wrong? prolly a wrong version of that file?!?! any help ppl! pls! i need to get this fixed asap

Do a search for MDAC 2.8 that is the latest release of Microsoft Data Access Components. I am surprised that at least an earlier version is not installed on your machine. But, it sounds like your problem. This is a free download and you can distribute it with your application. Your end users will need it as well. If I had more time I would link the site for you.

Hi,

After uninstalling Visual Studio just install the Visual Studio again from the CD. Give reference to ADO 2.6 library only.
