Im just a tad confused with my database settings at the moment.

When in Design Mode my selection form my DatabaseName is :

D:\My Applications\Job Database.mdb

My App works fine on my computer. When I create the Install Shield and then place all the files on CD thats fine.

When I installed my App on another computer they could open it but when they went on the form Job Database where all the information for a database is kept, the folloing error occured:

D:\My Applications\Job Database.mdb is not a valid path

What do I need to do for the application to search the directory where its just been installed rather than the directory where I first got my database from when creating the Install Shield?

It is best to create the database in a shared drive like a network server or maybe somebody else's computer and share the drive so everyone can have access to it.

You can then rewrite your code to show the path:

\\server name\my applications\job database.mdb
