Default SQL Statment

Can anybody look at the following sql statment and tell me why I would get a syntax error(missing operator).

strsql = "select * from jobpart where jobid='" & jobinprocessRS!JOBID & "'" & " as cmdgroup compute cmdgroup by 'ID'"

well.. i dont remember seing a compute clause in sql..

also.. you cant put an as in the where clausule.. why do that?? in the where nothing go out..
