Default How to check alignment of table

HI;
  i am using vb6 to code a program that read *.doc file, may i know is there any function that can check the alignment of a table? (the table position not the column and row within the table)
  and hence, can we check whether a table has its own header or not? just like what we did in HTML, the <TH> tab?
   Hope someone can help, thank you :)
