Default MDI Forms?

I have i a form Form1 mdicontainer set to true and i have a Form2 which a mdichild of Form1, How will I change the text property or disable buttons in Form1 through controls in Form2

I am a little confused here. Generally, the MDI Parent does not contain any controls aside from a menu bar. It is usually just a main screen (I think). Even so. You should be able to reference it in the same way you reference any other form. Are you getting an error message.
