Default Need to copy info from formula

My skill level:"What is a workbook?"

The Set up:
There is an excel workbook that is all scroll down menus and formulas that my company uses. I am gather information from that work book to compile a database.

The Problem:
There are two integers that I need to copy from the primary work book and post in the database; however every time I attempt to copy the integers I only get the formula that generated them. The formulas look like this:

"='Financial Ratio - Pension'!C17"

any help would be much appreciated.

When pasting, I believe that in the edit menu you will be able to select "paste value" or "Paste formula" (perhaps under "Paste Special").

Is this so?
