Using my PC-style computer with XP home, I can

1. Open both SoundRecorder and Windows Medium Player
2. Hit the record buton on SoundRec
3. Hit the Play button on WMP

and record into a wave file the sounds of the synthesizer.

But SoundRec will only record 60 seconds... How can I take the sounds of the synth (however long) and get them into a .WAV file?

Additional question: How can I take a signal going into the Mic or LineIn jack, and get it into a .wav file?

(In both undertakings, streaming to a file would be far preferable to storing in RAM, thence sending to a file later...)

I have both VB 6 and .NET 03.

I know there are multi-medium APIs, but I can't remember the library so as to look in help. (MMC? MMAPI? ???)
