Default Connect to FileNet Content Services

Can someone please guide me on how to establish a connection to FileNet using VB 6.0. I will be querying, displaying then deleting the documents that users will select that are ready for deletion. Is it just a regular connection string like SQL Server and Oracle databases? What are the components and references I need to add. If I can just see sample codes or point me to the right direction this will give me a head start on this project. This will be my first time to use FileNet via Vb 6.0.

Thank you for any assistance you can extend me.
