Default Visible row property

I have used several tabs on each tab there are grids and from the data in the grids I populate text boxes, to do this I am using the visible row property of the grids and then using the grid(row, column) property. However, after the second tab it says that the visible row count of the grids is 0 and therefore no rows even though when run the grid populates properly and contains data. Why this error after two tabs work correctly.

Thanks

Louisa
