Default Debug.Assert

It would appear that the Debug object (and its methods) is gone.
Is this so?
Is there a replacement?

OK.
So I find that
Code:
  Imports System.Diagnostics
is required.

Then I have Debug.Assert(False), but the code execution does not halt there...
