Default I see no line numbers when viewing errors in brows

I see no line numbers when viewing errors in browser

Using VS 2003
VB.net

View the project in a browser and
there is a error, I do not see the line numbers
and line of code causing the error.

I do have the line numbers visible in the code
behind and HTML.

I use to get the line numbers when testing and
getting errors.

Need help trying to get the line numbers back and the code line:

below is an example of all I get now:

Cast from string "" to type 'Date' is not valid.

Perhaps you have changed your compilation settings? That is to say from Debug to Release?

I copied this from the help page.

Line numbering Display line numbers in code by clicking that option in Tools, Options, Text Editor. You can do this on a per-language basis or for all languages. After line numbering has been activated, you can go to a particular line by clicking Go To in the Edit menu, or by pressing CTRL+G. For more information, see Navigating Code and Text.
