Default Datarepeater Control

VB6 had a contol in it called a datarepeater control. This control allowed you to layout a set of controls i.e. textboxes, checkboxes, dropdowns etc. in a free form style and it would repeat an instance of those controls as many times as you'd like for as many records as there are.
I was just wondering if Microsoft plans to add it back in the future or is there another way of accomplishing it?
