Is Chapter 13 Code wrong???

I have downloaded the code from the website for "Chapter 13: Creating your own custom control," and it did not work. It seems to have bugs in it.

I also typed in the code from the book and this seems to have the same bugs. Does anyone have a working copy of the CONTROLS project from Chapter 13 that I could have?
