Default VB Net and Adobe GoLive

I have a small web site being developed with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe GoLive. The student doing it will terminate within a few weeks.
I just started learning VB Net and would like to add a few web applications on my web site within roughly 6 months.
I have to buy for myself Adobe Golive so that I can learn to update my web site. Will it work well together, VB Net and Adobe GoLive? or should I work with another software that Adobe GoLive?
