Default Win Appl./ Connecting SQL Server Express Editition

Dear All,

I am working with VB .NET and installed SQL Server Express edition (Dec. 20th 2005 - in Windows XP Sp2) as per the Microsoft specification. Thru my VB .NET application I am not able to connect it shows the following error.
"Unable to connect database - It is only possible to connect SQL server Desktop engine dtabase"

I have specified correct server name, username, password, database also listed automatically in a list box, Test connection also succeeded. But while clicking OK button after this it shows the above error.

Kindly guide me - very URGENT.

regards

venkatesh Rao
