please let me know if visual basic can be used for representing GUI features because i read something related to that.
please let me know what it can be used for.

Your question is some what ambiguous. Can you be a little more specific? If your question relates to creating applications with a rich user interface, most languages of today (including Visual Basic) will handle the task nicely.
