A little bit more detail on what the search parameters would be and where and what you'll be searching!

If its files then you would route through filesystem and look a the IO class and FileSystemObject class

If its folders then you would do as expressed above

Its really dependant on what your searching for and where your searching for it!

Give us those details and we'll be able to help more

Have you considered looking into the the Windows Search 4.0 SDK?

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...evelopers.mspx

This allows you to let the Windows Search engine to all the work while you can build an application around their framework.
