LNK1104 ERROR

Hi
I just got visual C++ 2005 Express Edition Software and Ivor Horton's Beginning Visual C++ 2005 book.:D
In Chapter 1 the second example I ran into a problem.

I received this error:
(LINK : fatal error LNK1104: cannot open file 'kernel32.lib,)
I have reloaded the Software once with no change in error massage.
Is there some files I did not load. or will Empty console mode not work with this version?
